Yakubu Aiyegbeni the richest footballer in Nigeria. In a 2015 report, it is claimed that the former super eagles striker is top on the list of richest foorballers in Nigeria followed by Kalu Uche and chelsea’s John Mikel Obi
The report is based on what they earned in Europe during the 2014/2015 season and both Yakubu and Uche have also played for the oil rich Quatari club Al Rayyan. Mikel plys his trade with chelsea presently.
Yakubu Aiyegbeni is reported to earn over $2.5 million dollars per year.
