Van Vicker kick started his career as an actor by first forging his way into the entertainment industry in 1999 as a radio presenter at Groove 106.3 Fm (1999–2000) & Vibe 91.9fm (2001–2004) and as a television personality for TV3 Ghana (1997–1999) & Metro TV (2000–2004), Vicker appeared in the Ghanaian television series, Suncity, which depicted university life. He played the character of LeRoy King, Jr., a fine arts student born in the U.S. who arrives at Suncity to complete his education, he continued to star in movies until he broke the deadlock by getting into the Nollywood indsutry, nIn Ghana, It is perceived that until you break into Nigeria’s film industry, you have not made it big, so due to his prolific and natural acting skills, he started getting calls for auditions with Movie producers and directors in Nigeria and ever since, Van Vicker has gone from grace to grace, adding to the results of his talents, Van Vicker in 2008 received two nominations for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Upcoming Actor at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
