With Photos, See Why Nigeria Must Not Plunge Into Another Civil War

The Nigerian Civil War, also known as the Biafran War, 6 July 1967 – 15 January 1970, led by a warlord Odumegwu Ojukwu, from the eastern part of the country, was a war fought to counter the secession of Biafra from Nigeria. Biafra represented nationalist aspirations of the Igbo people, whose leadership felt they could no longer coexist with the Northern-dominated Nigerian government.

The younger generation agitating for a break up or better put, secession, should take a rethink because they have no iota of the consequences of Nigeria going into another Civil war. It comes with massive bloodshed, pains and psychological trauma that would inflict a scar in our soul, that would hurt us till death. With pictures below, maybe the reader agitating for a break up might begin to get a clearer picture and join the class of one-Nigeria.
